Jean joined Eastwoods as a consultant in 2018. She brings to the role decades of experience in advising public and private sector employers and employees. Her clients have included NHS bodies, professional partnerships, local authorities, charities and housing associations, doctors, dentists and other professionals and other senior employees.
Jean’s areas of specialist expertise include advising on the doctors’ national NHS framework “Maintaining high Professional Standards”. She has handled high level senior employee and board issues, often high profile, including those relating to underperformance, misconduct, breakdown of working relationships and loss of confidence situations. She has conducted mediations as a cheaper and quicker alternative to litigation. She has advised on the conduct of investigations, the obtaining of injunctions in the employment context and the tricky issues relating to whistle blowing and discrimination. She has experience of strikes and industrial relations issues as well as settlement agreements and data protection issues.
Jean has been recognised as a “Leader in Field” by Chambers and Partners Legal Directory since 1995, based on independent surveys of clients and professional peers.
